Nutrition and health are key drivers for growth in the UK food and drink sector, currently worth £96 billionand Food Matters Live represents the ideal gateway to access the British market. It is an annual event, focusing on the connections between food, drink, health and nutrition. The fourth edition will take place from 20th to 22nd November 2018 at ExCeL, London.

The last edition of the event attracted more than 800 exhibitors and 16,000 professionals from the fields of food and drink production, retail, research, nutrition, public health and policy.

Food Matters Live 2018 will host 800 leading organisations, forming a carefully curated exhibition. Moreover, the education programme, with live debates, over 100 seminars and 400 speakers involved, offers a unique learning opportunity on several themes related to health and nutrition.

The show also features a number of themed visitor attractions, bringing the conferences and seminars to life through a series of interactive demonstrations, tastings and talks on the exhibition floor. The Week of Italian Cuisine* will be at the heart of Food Matters Live’s programme, including live cooking demonstrations and master classes honouring the Bel Paese’s excellent food and wine traditions.

*The Week of Italian Cuisine is one of the initiatives set up as part of the ‘Food Act,’ an action plan promoted by the Italian government (Maeci - Mipaaf – Miur) to promote the Mediterranean diet and defend ‘Made in Italy’ produce from the Italian Sounding phenomenon.

During the 2017 edition, Food Matters Live hosted two events of the Italian Cuisine Week:

• “The promotion of the authentic Italian product”

• “The promotion of Halal and Kosher certifications for Made in Italy products”.

The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK is proud to support Food Matters Live, giving Italian businesses an opportunity to get involved in this innovative event and exhibit within the exciting Innovation from Italy area.
