Krafta Doc International Art Making Film Festival 2017
Glasgow 27th September - 1st October

The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK is pleased to present "Krafta Doc International Art Making Film Festival".
Founded by Silvia Righetti, Italian architect and designer, Krafta is an International Festival of short and documentary films and artists' videos intended to explore and make visible the process of creation across science, the arts and the humanities.
Creativity means perceiving the world in new ways, making connections between persons and disciplines, finding innovative solutions. Creativity is the field of the artists, these original thinkers and visionaries, and we want to know their stories, to watch and share them.
The aim of Krafta is to investigate the local and international creative production through high quality films, while opening up discursive debates on tradition and innovation in the arts and crafts with invited professionals.
Krafta will hold its inaugural edition in Glasgow at the Lighthouse, National Centre for Design and Architecture, and at the Sloans Grand Ballroom, from the 27th September 2017 to the 01st October 2017. To read more click here.

The Italian Awards are back to celebrate the best of Italian hospitality across the UK.


The Italian Awards competitions are free to enter and voted for solely by the public. The shortlisted finalists, with the most amount of public nominations, represent the nation's favorites and are now entered in to the judging stage. Over 1500 businesses were nominated and now votes have been counted to find 100 finalists businesses, representing favorites from Sunderland to Southampton and all over the country.
Categories cover the breadth of Italian hospitality to celebrate the best businesses, teams and chefs; these include Best Trattoria, Best Deli Café, Best Family Friendly Restaurant, Best Newcomer and Best Team, among many others.
The Italian Awards judges, an independent panel made up of industry specialists, tour the country to critique each venue across a full list of criteria.
Top Italian chefs from across England are recognised in the Best Pizza, Best Pasta, English Italian Chef of the Year categories and finalists will go head to head in a live cook off. The Italian Awards Cook Offs are the opportunity for the talented chefs of the competition to showcase their skill and flair. Finalists in the categories for Best Pasta, Best Pizza and English Italian Chef of the Year are put through their paces in a live cook off to delight the senses of celebrity judge, Aldo Zilli.

Excel Exhibition Centre, London | from 6th to 8th March

Ecobuild is the UK's largest event for sustainable construction, home automation, renewable energy and energy efficiency. The fair, welcoming approximately 25,400 visitors each year, 88% of which are managerial level or above, is a unique showcase for the internationalisation of all Italian companies active in the sector. The event will put sustainability firmly at the forefront of the agenda, as it was in the 2017 edition. HeartQuake - Together for reconstraction


HearthQuake is an established charitable company incorporated in England and Wales on 3rd March 2017 (Reg. n. 10650500) in the process of registering as a "charity" under the Charities Act 2011. Our website will be launched very soon at The decision to set up HeartQuake was made following the last devastating earthquakes in Central Italy, which left thousands of families homeless, jobless and with no hope for their future. A group of Italian professionals living in the United Kingdom is seriously and sincerely committed "to make a difference" to the lives of those people, working to bring together friends and business contacts from every professional background who are willing to contribute with money as well as ideas and skills. We would therefore welcome every person and organization who wish to help HeartQuake become a life changer for the people of Central Italy.

Ingredients for 5 small jars (0.15 liter capacity): 1700 gr of green tomatoes (gross weight), 2 limes, 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled, without torsol, ...
Method: Wash the green tomatoes, remove the stem and chop them into reasonable sized chunks. After washing the lime, remove the peels. Put them in a pan, cover with water and when it boils, drain them. Repeat the operation two more times, then scrap off and set them aside. Put the tomatoes in a Steel Casserole Pan, cover it with the white and cane sugar, the juice of the two limes, the ginger and the apple. ... Read more....
