SAGRA ITALIANA – SECOND EDITION

SAGRA ITALIANA – SECOND EDITION

SAGRA ITALIANA – SECOND EDITION

From Friday 31st May to Sunday 2nd June 2019

George Square, Glasgow

After the first successful edition last year, Paramount Creative has organised its second Sagra Italiana with the support of The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK, which took place in George Square, Glasgow, the heart of the Scottish most populous city. The festival celebrates Scotland’s love for Italy and for Italian food and traditions.

On Saturday 1st June, the President of the Scottish Board of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK Leandro Franchi, along with The Lord Provost of Glasgow Eva Bolander, and Stefania Gatta from ENIT - The Italian National Tourist Board, officially opened the event. In collaboration with ENIT, the Scottish Branch of the Chamber of Commerce also organised a Networking Event for its members and a number of Italian businesses, tour operators, and other members of the Italo-Scots community to discuss the activities carried out in the past and what future collaborations between Italy and Scotland could be put in place.

Along with many other business and entrepreneur, our members Piccolino Edinburgh and CaterItaly were showcasing their products, letting the crowd taste their exquisite, traditional Italian dishes and products. It was great seeing them being so popular and appreciated!

More than 20.000 guests attended the event: families, Italian food lovers, companies, and business owners had the chance to spend a nice “Italian weekend” within a cheering and happy atmosphere. During the event, live music entertained the crowd, masterclasses were organised for the most curious guests, and entertainment for children was there too. The feedbacks have been enthusiastic.

What an incredibly successful event. We can’t wait for next year edition!
