Press Release - Newly Elected President of The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK

Press Release - Newly Elected President of The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK

Yesterday Alessandro Belluzzo was elected President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom. He replaces Leonardo Simonelli, who has chaired the Chamber continuously for the past 25 years and has been appointed President Emeritus and member of the Executive Committee.
Belluzzo is a 42-year-old professional from Verona who has been living in London for 15 years, dealing with the interests of Italian families and businesses that live and invest in the UK, he has been elected to the Chamber for the next three years.
"I wish to thank Leonardo Simonelli, who, in these years, has made our Chamber grow, and the Board who voted for me. The Italian Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom - explains Belluzzo - must be central to the Italian system in continuous collaboration with the Embassy in London, ITA and the Italian community. The goal is to increase the dialogue between the UK and Italy, most of all in this delicate moment for Great Britain but full of opportunities. All this through innovation, technology and companies based on the circular economy ".
The new president announces that “the Chamber will renew its headquarters, and wants to be a centre for start-ups and for those who want to do business in the UK: it will be more and more open to all the productive realities of the two countries that intend to contribute with their work to the economic and social growth of Italy and the UK ".
