Festa Italiana Manchester

Festa Italiana Manchester

Festa Italiana will take over Cathedral Gardens in Manchester City Centre for one weekend in summer, from the 26th to the 28th of July. Festa Italiana is born with the aim of celebrating the Italian style – especially its cuisine – and recreating the atmosphere, sights and smells of Italy across Manchester, one of the main cities of the North West with a large Italian community and a strong cultural heritage.
The “Piazza” will be the main outdoor heart of the action including everything from the best authentic Italian food producers, restaurants, events, masterclasses and demonstrations, delicious street food, a selection of bars to choose from including Italian beers and cocktails and live entertainment every day from traditional Italian bands.
Additional fringe events will take place across the city during the festival creating an immersive city centre wide celebration that will represent all aspects of Manchester’s Italian food scene and heritage.
This year the spot light will be on Gennaro Contaldo, one of the most loved chefs in the UK and Italian mentor of Jamie Oliver.
This first Italian Festival in Manchester is an exclusive idea of the Neapolitan Maurizio Cecco, a great Italian ambassador for the city who opened his independent Italian restaurants, Salvi’s, with the aim of bringing a slice of authentic Neapolitan life and cuisine to Manchester using only the very best quality ingredients imported from Naples weekly.

Festa Italiana will be subject to an extensive marketing campaign with a primary focus on Greater Manchester and the North West. The marketing campaign will deliver significant exposure for the event and will include:

National & Regional Newspaper Promotion and Advertising
Print Campaign - Flyer’s and posters
Radio Airtime
Online Advertising and promotion
Social Media
Banner Advertising
As the official partner of the Inaugural Salvi’s Festa Italiana, the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK is delighted to support organisers in the marketing activities and promoting the Festival among potential sponsors.
For more information about sponsorship packages, partnership fees and benefits please contact the North West Branch manager Giulia Sirigu at the following email address: manchester@italchamind.org.uk
