Welcome to another TechTuesday with WeBizz. 

Today we talk about a wonderful opportunity for businesses: reach TV audience on YouTube and place advertising on premium YouTube inventory thanks to its renovated program YouTube Select (previously known as Google Preferred).

How does YouTube Select work?
YouTube Select organizes content in a diverse mix of content packages, called lineups—each tailored to globally and locally relevant needs like beauty & fashion, entertainment, technology, sports and everything in between. 

How will it be possible to reach TV audiences?
YouTube Select is introducing a package focused on YouTube and YouTube TV content that’s streaming to TVs to help brands reach their audiences where they are watching. Streaming TV combines the best of YouTube TV and lineups content, both on TV screens. 
YouTube advertisers will now be able to target this dedicated streaming TV lineup. The TV lineup will include YouTube Originals, live sports, movies, news and content from popular creators.

New behaviours and trends to take into consideration
According to TechCrunch:
- watch time for live content on TVs has grown 250% globally
- watch time for feature-length movies via the YouTube Movies hub has grown 800%
- YouTube live and on-demand TV service YouTube TV has seen watch time for shows grow 300% in the United States
- Watch time for news on YouTube TV has grown 450%.
YouTube Select will help align the video advertising options to these new behaviours. It will also help advertisers maximize the performance of their video advertising campaigns as they will be able to target tailored lineups of technology, food & recipe, Spanish, entertainment & pop culture, comedy, music and other content categories.
According to YouTube, global lineups delivered an average awareness lift of 13% and an average purchase intent lift of 9% in 2019.
