List your e-commerce on Google!

List your e-commerce on Google!
Dear Folks,
Welcome to another TechTuesday with WeBizz

Today we talk about a unique opportunity for retailers: having their products listed on Google!
What does it mean?
If you own an e-commerce website you can make your products show up on the Google Shopping tabs. For free.
What is Google Shopping?
In Google’s own terms, Google Shopping “enables users to view product
information from merchants that is updated on a regular basis by the merchants. Online retailers, part of the Google Merchant network, submit feeds containing product information to Google Shopping and pay each time someone clicks to their website or makes a purchase directly from their site.”

Now you will be able to list your products on the Google Shopping Tab.
Free listings on Google Shopping have become available in April. Before April products listings on Google Shopping were accessible only with paid Google Shopping advertising campaigns.

From one side, this update will create a better experience for the shopper,  who will be able to discover more products (free and paid listings) through the Google Shopping Tab.
From the other side, this update will allow retailers to use Google as another route to market, without having to pay to be present.
Of course, your e-commerce must be compliant with some Google requirements (i.e. products must be ready for sale, they must have a price… ) and your listing should include as much information as possible. Unpaid listings can benefit particularly from having full information on availability, delivery policy and using a canonical link.
Following this significant move, Google is also starting to extend the free products listings into the main Search results.
