Free workshop in Italian on job searching in Scotland and CV writing

In collaboration with Dr. Margherita Saccá-Briody, Psychologist (Counseling and Psychology of Work) and member of our Chamber of Commerce, the Scottish Branch of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK has organised a workshop day for all the Italians living in Scotland who are looking for an opportunity to fulfil their dreams and want to explore their attitudes and motivations in choosing different possible professions.

Looking for a job, especially in a foreign country, can be an opportunity to get free from pre-conditioning, even if it can be accompanied by disorientation or confusion. It is necessary to identify our strengths and desires, to gather and listen to our motivations while, at the same time, taking practical needs into account. While formulating a plan for the realisation of our professional desires, we must take into account new needs and socio-territorial characteristics: the drafting of a curriculum vitae (or more than one, if necessary) must reflect the preparation of a project that allows responding to short-term needs, with a view to long-term ones.

- Exploration and identification of strengths, skills and personal qualities;

- Identification of motivations, desires, professional aspirations;

- Identification of points to be developed for the realisation of such aspirations, taking into consideration the socio-territorial context;

- Formulation of a career plan that takes into account short-term needs, which is projected into the realisation of our vision of profession;

- Learning how to write CVs, enhancing various sorts of experiences so that it could be functional to our career project.

Participants are invited to bring their curriculum vitae.

Please register through this application form (registration is mandatory).
