The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK has teamed up with Etruscan Life Tour – a network of local tourism enterprises – and Lazio Region to organise an exclusive educational trip to Tuscia, a beautiful yet widely undiscovered part of central Italy.
Tuscia is a historical region that comprised the territories under Etruscan influence and later came to coincide with today’s province of Viterbo.
Throughout history, this land has acted as an intersection of people and cultures: Etruscan necropolises are testimony to the presence of this ancient civilisation, while the Via Francigena is still the most important pilgrim route to Rome. At the centre of Tuscia lies Viterbo, a town that hosted the Papal See (13th century) and today retains the largest medieval quarter in Europe together with splendid Renaissance palaces and gardens. Tuscia’s one-of-a-kind history, art and traditions are striking for visitors, who can also enjoy the land’s beauty by experiencing the unique local thermal baths and unspoilt nature.
The tour will take place 26th – 29th September 2016, and is a fantastic opportunity for UK professionals in the Tourism, Wellbeing and Cinema industries as well as members of the Press to get a taste for the exciting world of Tuscia. The event will include visits to Etruscan archaeological sites, medieval villages and Renaissance palaces, as well as unique open-air activities and some relaxation-time in luxurious Spas. The full programme is available HERE.
All travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the organisers.
There are a limited number of places available so if you are interested in attending, please click HERE and fill in the form by the 4th July 2016.
We look forward to hearing from you!
