On occasion of the Settimana della Cucina Italiana nel Mondo 2018, the Scottish branch of The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK, along with the Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Institute of Culture in Edinburgh, is delighted to invite you to a series of events. The programme of the week will be as follows:

 

Le Vie della Dieta Mediterranea

19th November – 18:00-19:00

Institut Français d'Écosse, West Parliament Square, Edinburgh EH1 1RF

 

Conference on Mediterranean Diet by Valerio Calabrese (Director of Museo Vivente della Dieta Mediterranea di Pioppi) and nutritionist Francesca Marino, followed by a tasting of delicacies typical of the Mediterranean diet prepared by La Locanda De Gusti.

 

Da 1926 con Giuseppe Pignalosa

Pizza reception by the well-known Neapolitan pizzaiolo Giuseppe Pignalosa at the Pizzeria 1926, an occasion to taste an authentic Neapolitan pizza, whose art is on the UNESCO list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

 

  Castel del Monte: Le Strade dell’Olio e del Vino

20th November – 18:00-21:00

The Principal Edinburgh, 19-21 George St, Edinburgh EH2 2PB

  

Presentation and promotion of wines and oils of the Castel del Monte area, Apulia. Wines and oils experts, including Antonio Caputo and Maria Teresa Pellegrino, will guide us through a journey to explore these products and the area where they are grown, harvested and processed. At the end of the presentation, Michelin-starred chef Felice Sgarra will delight our guests with a rich reception during which they will enjoy wines, oils and other delicacies of the Castel del Monte area.

21th November – 20:00-21:30

Eusebi Deli, 152 Park Road, Glasgow G4 9HB

 

The dinner promises to offer the very best of the Castel Del Monte area’s food and wine products, within a classy and relaxed atmosphere. Eusebi Deli’s staff and Michelin-starred chef Felice Sgarra will come together to let the guests experience an authentic andriese dinner, prepared with the best and freshest products.
