| Third Survey of Italian Investments in the UK |

| The third survey of Italian investments in the UK has seen for the first time a close collaboration with the British Chamber of Commerce for Italy. |
|
| Between 2000 and 2006 the number of companies which invested in UK increased from 443 to 681, and the overall turnover increased from 7.2 to 14.5 billion pounds ( more than 20 billions euros) giving jobs to more than 46.000 employees.
According to the latest survey conducted on behalf of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK, the regions with the largest number of companies are Greater London (44 %) followed by South England (35%), North England (12%), Midlands (6%), Scotland (2,2%) and Wales (8%). As we can see during these last 6 years there has been a significant increase in Italian investment in the UK. |

| Between 2000 and 2002 to the growth of the overall turnover (from 7.2 to 12 billion pounds) corresponded the growth of employees (51.000). Despite the fact that the total turnover has increased, the number of employees has decreased, driven by advances in productivity of Italian companies. |

| The first three sectors per employees (defence Finmeccanica, appliances with Merloni-Indesit, Hoover-Candy and Kenwood-DeLonghi and vehicles with Cnh and Fiat Iveco) are still the same and their turnover is the same despite reduced staff. |

| The Report was based on the detailed study of Italian companies present in the UK has led to the creation of a Directory of over 680 Italian companies with subsidiaries or interests in the UK. |
|
| This Directory, constantly updated, comprises company names, addresses, telephone and fax numbers and a contact name (when available) both for English subsidiaries and for their corresponding Italian companies. |
|
